Alloy 926 exhibits excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in media containing halides and hydrogen sulfide. It also has excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and is able to withstand both oxidizing and reducing environments.
Alloy 926 (UNS N08926) Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe is an extremely corrosion resistant superaustenitic stainless steel with high chromium and molybdenum contents.
The chemical composition of Alloy 926 Pipe is similar to Alloy 904L Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe. The nitrogen content is 0.2% and the molybdenum content is 6.5%.
Good corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as high temperature, seawater or flue gas desulfurization units. In some cases, it can even be comparable to Alloy C276 seamless pipe.
